Firing by Indian BSF kills Pakistani in Shakargarh sector

NAROWAL: Firing by India's Border Security Force (BSF) across the working boundary killed a Pakistani citizen in Shakargarh sector on Wednesday, DawnNews reported.

Pakistani forces also resorted to retaliatory firing.

The deceased was shifted to a nearby hospital.

This is the third incident of exchange of gunfire across the Indian and Pakistani working boundary.

One BSF person was killed and three other were wounded on Jul 16 on the Indian side of the border during a clash between the two sides.

In another incident on June 20, a Pakistani civilian was killed and three others were wounded during an exchange of fire across the working border between India and Pakistan border near Silakot's Charwah and Mirajkey sectors

I was expecting some incident at the border. In order to deflect attention of Pak army the Taliban will try to ignite something at Indo-Pak border. Both sides need to tread carefully.

@John This is 2 time in a week that this happened. If India is clean why do they prevent UN Observers to come on their side. I was on the border and these UN observers are free to maneuver on Pak side and have documented incidents. Your Army allows limited access into disputed Territory or IHK.

India should install sharp shooter robots on the borders , so that they can shoot at sight . We have money , technology to do this . This would reduce human causalities also .
