With Eid-ul-Fitr just round the corner, a number of movies will be ruling the holiday box office. While many of you may be busy enjoying unlimited biryani and sheer khurma treats, movie lovers will be visiting the bustling cinema theaters, celebrating their holidays by watching their favourite films.

Here's what all the movie lovers can watch during the three-day holiday:


Kick

Salman Khan's recent tiff with the Indian press photographers is not going to stop his fans from watching him perform high octane, dynamic and powerful action sequences in his upcoming Bollywood action feature film.

Kick has already made waves in the industry and it may just kick off all the holiday box office records.

We're expecting the cinemas to be packed, so book your tickets soon!

Plot: On a train journey, psychiatrist Shaina (Jacqueline Fernandez) meets Himanshu (Randeep Hooda), a police officer from India to discuss their prospective marriage. Both are reluctant to enter into an arranged union but become friends and strike a deep conversation where Shaina reveals her previous relationship with the eccentric Devil (Salman Khan), a man who lived only for his 'Kick' aka an adrenaline rush. Himanshu in turn regales her with his glorious escapades as an officer but mentions that he has finally met his match, an intelligent thief. What they are both unaware of is that their stories have one thing in common, Devil. He returns to their lives under the pretext of having lost his memory. Behind it all, is a deeper mystery and an uncompromising mission for which Devil is ready to lose his life.

Sultanat

With a touted budget as mighty as Rs22 crore, upcoming Pakistani action romance film, Sultanat, is said to be the most expensive film of the Pakistani film industry.

Plot: The film is based on the underworld and has been shot in Pakistan, Dubai and Malaysia.

Alongside famous Pakistani faces like Ahsan Khan, Javed Sheikh, Sara Lorren, Zainab Qauyyum and Javeria Abbasi, the film also stars India's Shewata Tiwari, who will be making her Lollywood debut.


Dawn of the Planet of the Apes (3D)

Shot in 3D, the up-coming sci-fi is the sequel to The Rise of the Planet of the Apes. The latest human versus apes film promises to serve thrilling action with spectacular visual effects and a dramatic story, bound to keep you on the edge of your seat.

Plot: A growing nation of genetically evolved apes led by Caesar is threatened by a band of human survivors of the devastating virus, unleashed a decade earlier. They reach a fragile peace, but it proves short-lived, as both sides are brought to the brink of a war that will determine who will emerge as Earth's dominant species.

Planes: Fire and Rescue (3D)

This one's a treat for all those kids who've nicely put up with endless Eid visits with their parents.

This comedy cum adventure animated movie, is Disney's sequel to the 2013 film Planes, a spin-off of Pixar's Cars franchise.

Plot: When Dusty learns that his engine is damaged and he may never race again, he joins forces with fire and rescue helicopter Blade Ranger and his team, The Smokejumpers, to battle a massive wildfire.


Step Up: All In (3D)

For all Step Up movie lovers, here's some good news for you! The latest street-powered dance installment is grooving its way to cinema screens this Eid.

All stars from the previous Step Up installments come together in glittering Las Vegas, battling for a dance victory that could define their dreams and their careers.

Plot: Miami street dancer Sean Asa (Ryan Guzman) moves to Hollywood with visions of fame and fortune, only to discover the almost insurmountable odds of making it in the professional dance world. But when the new dance crew he forms with the beautiful and headstrong Andie West (Briana Evigan) reaches the final rounds of a high-stakes reality TV competition in glittering Las Vegas, he has a shot at finally making his dreams come true—if he can set aside old loyalties and long-time rivalries and just do what he loves most: dance.

Hercules (3D)

And here's one for all the action/adventure lovers.

Plot: Haunted by a sin from his past, Hercules has become a mercenary. Along with five faithful companions, he travels to ancient Greece selling his services for gold and using his legendary reputation to intimidate enemies. But when the benevolent ruler of Thrace and his daughter seek Hercules' help to defeat a savage and terrifying warlord, Hercules finds that in order for good to triumph and justice to prevail, he must again become the hero he once was. He must embrace his own myth – he must be Hercules.
