Pakistani television actor Samina Peerzada said she adores Indian stand-up comedian and TV anchor Kapil Sharma, in an interview with Times of India.
Peerzada also said that Comedy Nights with Kapil is her favourite show.
She said she could relate to Sharma as his stand-up comedy acts reminded her of a lot of Lahore stand-up comedians.
Responding to whether Pakistani viewers get to watch Indian shows, Peerzada said we [Pakistanis] watch a lot of Indian shows.
She further added that the most amazing thing about Indian shows is the scale on which a soap is made, which makes them different from Pakistani shows.
"There is this sheen of larger than life portrayals that make Indian soaps so different from our shows. Pakistani shows are more to do with drama and are realistic."
Peerzada also said that Pakistani entertainment industry is a powerhouse of strong women.
She further added that she is a feminist and has made some very tough decisions in her life.
Peerzada started her career at a very young age with Bazzar-e-Husn as her debut film, for which she also received a national award. When she started working in television, she realised TV characters had much better roles and hence, she opted to work for television.
Responding to whether being a feminist is tough, Peerzada said she is a feminist who is firm yet gentle and that has helped her a lot.

i have watched this so called comedy hes not very funny at all why is everyone going Ga-Ga over him, most recently i came across a channel called Geo and watched a comedy sketch show called Khaarnaak and the comedy on that was above and beyond what Kapil Sharma does they were 5 or 6 people on the panel and a host everyone was really good.

Though Kapil Sharma is a good actor, comedian & TV anchor but his show Comedy Nights is cheap. The ever laughing Sidu is another item of nonsense laugh. Samina Peerzada is a fine & refined actress, she must have said this as a bonus gesture.

I like his pre comedy nights days, which were better. But he definitely have that Punjabi sense of humor, which can make you laugh on anything and everything. Azizi urf sohail does an excellent comedy too but it's the same Punjabi base. Just laugh yaro.

There was a time when Samina Peerzada used to be a fine looking woman. She still got the looks but her age has creeped up on her. But she is still that "Aunty" every Paki guy dreams about.

its not about jealousy or indian Pakistanis, but I have lived n worked with Indians for years, I can tell u that they find that movie of Kishore kumar (with the song 'mairey samnay walee khirki mein ek chaand sa mukhra...) hilarious!! whereas its simply boring and ridiculous to us. more boring actually.
we just have a different pallet for humor as in many other things.
I guess she is just bored. Indians like their humor and we like ours, theirs is set on a backdrop of their culture and lifestyles ours on what we are accustomed to. Now if madam femme fatale can transcend and grow a liking for antics as funny and humor, then well what can we say. she always had it in her

Pakistan must develop brotherly relations with India instead of quibbling on Kashmir.There is lot in common and both are flesh of the Same flesh and blood of the same blood.The fundamentalists and extremists should be segregated.

Humor Or Vinod is for softening the soil of mind and taking out weed (ego droppings) so that one can can learn and grow. Making humor Pakistani is hardening of soil with toxic ego droppings. Pakistan needs more humor to soften the minds of their Mullahs and Baitullahs. Lal Topiwala, Lookman and many such characters in political talk-shows make them hilarious.

I agree Kapil is not superior than most of Pak Comedians but one should admire him for the way he has grown from being just a stand up comedian to hosting his own show on a big channel- that's sheer hardwork.
BTW Ali Mir rocks on Khabarnaak, we indians also watch Khabarnaak without fail....

Pakistan has talent in comedy, much more than Indians. That is true. Whenever Pakistan speaks about Kashmir not being part of India or they do not support terrorism or they are very peaceful nation, every Indian laughs uncontrollably.

If I am not mistaken, I saw Ms Samina Pirzada in the Pakistan tv show " zindgi Gulzar Hai". Hope I am not wrong. She has indeed given a very dignified and graceful performance as the lower middle class mom of three daughters who examplary bringing up make them into self sufficient and independent professionals in their lives. Whatever is her opinion, it has to be respected as she is analysing from the eyes of an artist, though I am not a big fan of the show which she mentioned.

pakistani TV shows in the 70s 'alif noon' was the most highly comedian show - kapil sharma show is no doubt a comedy show promoting actors and actress of their upcoming films and also insulting remarks to the audience who raise their hands to question the guests.

Half the Pakistan likes SRK, but if she likes an indian comedian everyone has a problem. Get a life and stop portraying Pakistanis as insecure and desperate..

I rarely watch serials anymore. The same is true of my wife. But both of us are absolutely hooked, entirely glued, to the Zindagi Gulzar Hai on Zindagi channel. We just can not miss any episode, whatsoever. We thought we are the only ones who have discovered this new channel, but lo and behold, whoever we ask, they are hooked too!
You as a mother are absolutely fabulous, and so are Kashaf and Zaroon as well. Some of the delicate romantic scenes portrayed by the two youngsters are absolutely amazing, so beautifully done. Special praise for the Director who has handled the characters and the camera so very well. Bhai Kya baat hai. Many good wishes from all of us, and am sure that's how everybody who is watching your serial, here in India, would like to say. Keep up the good work and yes, do whatever you possibly can to nurture such realistic, enjoyable and socially meaningful serials. All the very best.

To be Honest, Kapail Sharma's comedy is selectively good. So, as long as Kapil is there at the stage talking to the host, it remains interesting. But when his other team come to stage it can be bad to average, only sometimes hilarous. But Kapil himself is really talented and witty, handles it really well.

Can't believe people are fighting on this. What separates Kapil from others IMO is he has got good business sense just the way SRK may not be the best actor on earth but is a marketing genius.
His comedy circus and laughter challenge are better than his current show but he is the best comedian in India ever had. In the earlier days, comedians were always looked down as chamchas standing next to hero, but kapil and other comedians changed whole perception on comedians.

Lots of our well-known people especially from the show business are singing the same tune that how India is great. Maybe so but when they quote shows like Kapil Sharma, I want to pull my hair out. There is a fine line between comedy and trash. She seems to miss it.
