PESHAWAR: At least six bodies were found in the Harmaz area of North Waziristan tribal region's Mirali tehsil.

The identities of the deceased could not be ascertained.

North Waziristan is one of the seven regions in Pakistan's Federally Administered Tribal Areas (Fata) governed by tribal laws which is situyated along the Pak-Afghan border and is rife with Taliban militant activity.

The military operation named 'Zarb-i-Azb' was launched in the North Waziristan region in June, following a Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan-claimed-attack on Karachi airport.

At least 460,000 people have fled the region into nearby areas of Pakistan as well as neighbouring Afghanistan, the biggest movement of refugees in Pakistan in years.
