KARACHI: An 11-bed intensive care unit, named after former prime minister Benazir Bhutto, was inaugurated on Saturday at the Sindh Employees Social Security Institution’s (Sessi) Valika Hospital.

Adviser to the chief minister’s on labour Asghar Junejo inaugurated the facility.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr Junejo said that the facility that also had three ventilators would not only facilitate workers and their families, but would also save between Rs4 million and Rs5 million on a monthly basis that Sessi used to spend on referring patients to other hospitals while bearing their expenses.
