KARACHI: Stockily built boxers of Sindh Rangers seized five golds to win the two-day all-Sindh Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto boxing tournament which concluded at the KPT Sports Complex on Friday.

Mirpurkhas grabbed two gold and as many silver to finish runner-up in the competition which was participated by 12 teams including three departments.

The third position went to Sindh Police who grabbed two gold and a silver medal.

Karachi could only win a single gold through Akhtar in 64 kg out of 10 gold medals that were at the stake.

Pakistan Boxing Federation (PBF) president, Doda Khan Bhutto and Sindh Minister for Kachi Abadies and Special Development Javed Nagori, awarded the trophies and medals to the successful boxers. Sindh Boxing Association secretary Asghar Baloch was also present.

49 kg: Shoaib Murad (Sindh Rangers) bt Yaseen (Sindh Police) 3-0.

52 kg: Amjad (Mirpurkhas) bt Zahid (Karachi Central) 2-1.

56 kg: Shafi Jan (Sindh Police) bt Shahid Jan (Karachi Malir) 3-0.

60 kg: Sajid Farman (Sindh Rangers) bt Wahab (Karachi West) 3-0.

64 kg: Akhtar (Karachi West) bt Anil Hussain (Sindh Police) bt2-1.

69 kg: Farhan (Mirpurkhas) bt Shahzad (Hyderabad) 2-1.

75 kg: Mohammad Ali (Sindh Rangers) bt Saqib Baloch (Mirpurkhas) 3-0.

81 kg: Noor Ali (Sindh Rangers) bt Roofus (Hyderabad) 3-0.

91 kg: Abijozi Khan (Sindh Police) bt Ismail (Sindh Rangers) 3-0.

91+ kg: Imran Shah (Sindh Rangers) bt Allah Bux (Mirpurkhas) 3-0.
