PESHAWAR, July 15: A new telephone exchange will be installed in the Khyber Agency while another project envisages expanding the capacity of the Landi Kotal exchange by 500 lines.

This was stated by general manager, NTR-I, Yousaf Afridi while talking to a delegation led by Senator Hafiz Abdul Malik here on Tuesday.

The delegation apprised the General Manger of their problems and offered some suggestions in this regard.

The PTCL, he said, was trying to provide better telecommunication facilities in the tribal areas, adding that problems faced by the people in this regard in the Khyber Agency would soon be resolved.

He said that the new exchanges would help integrate tribesmen more efficiently in the mainstream national affairs.

He said the delegation’s suggestions would be incorporated in the PTCL developmental projects in the Khyber Agency.
