Junejo’s widow laid to rest

MIRPURKHAS, July 13: The wife of the former prime minister, Mohammad Khan Junejo, was laid to rest near the grave of her husband at the Khan Sahib Din Mohammad Junejo village, near Sindhri, Sanghar district, on Sunday.

She died of kidney failure at a hospital in Karachi early Sunday morning. She was 60.

Her funeral was attended by thousands of people, including advocates and journalists.

Later, Fateha and Quran Khwani were held at the Junejo House.

She leaves behind a son, Vice President PML(Q) Asad Junejo, and five daughters, including MNA Fiza Junejo.

APP Adds: Prime Minister Mir Zafarullah Khan Junejo on Sunday expressed profound sorrow over the death of Begum Junejo.

In a condolence message to Asad Junejo and Fiza Junejo, son and daughter of Mr Junejo respectively, the prime minister prayed to the Almighty to rest the departed soul in eternal bliss and grant courage to the bereaved family to bear the loss with fortitude.

The chairman, Senate, Mohammedmian Soomro, has expressed profound sorrow over the death of Begum Junejo.
