HARIPUR, Dec 16: District Nazim Dr Raja Aamir Zaman has expressed his determination to protect the present status of tehsil status of Ghazi at every cost and hinted at tendering resignation if he failed to do so.

Addressing the participants in an open kutchehry at Ghazi, the Nazim said there was no such move, and added that if at all there was any, “ I would better opt to go home.”

He said Rs 1.5 million had already been earmarked for Ghazi tehsil development schemes.

He said the rural health centre at Ghazi would be upgraded to the status of tehsil headquarters hospital.

Besides, he added, a girls’ degree college would also be set up at Ghazi.
