KOHAT: A girl was kidnapped from Greiwan area of Sharkardarra here on Sunday.

Zarghun Shah, father of the victim, filed a plea with the district sessions judge, saying that Saeedullah, Hameedullah and Ehsanullah allegedly kidnapped her daughter. At which, the court directed the Shakardarra police to arrest the suspects. The police registered case against the suspects and launched efforts to apprehend them.

MEASLES VACCINATION: The local administration will vaccinate children between the 6 years to 10 years of age against measles in the district.

This was decided at a meeting called by the deputy commissioner here on Sunday. It was informed that 334,000 children would be vaccinated in the 12-day campaign, starting from May 19. It was also decided that children up to five years of age would also be given anti-polio drops during the campaign.

The meeting was attended by army officials of station headquarters, police, World Health Organisation and education department.Meanwhile, a 12-day anti-measles campaign would also be launched in Hangu district from May 20. This was decided at a meeting held at Jawara Gandi.

VARSITY EXAMINATIONS: The Kohat University of Science and Technology (KUST) has issued schedule for holding the annual B.A/B.C and other examinations.

Examinations for BA/BC would commence from May 29 and B.Com from June 5, respectivley, according to controller of examinations.

He said that those candidates who didn’t receive roll number slips should bring with them a photograph and copy of computer identity card to the examination hall.
