RAWALPINDI, July 9: One person was shot dead while two others sustained injuries when their rivals opened fire on them in Westridge on Wednesday.

According to the police, Mohammad Ayub was supervising construction work at his plot in Dhoke Mustaqeem when his rival — Mehboob — along with some other persons opened fire on him.

As a result, Ayub, his son — Murtaza Ayub — and another person, Naseeb Khan, received bullet injuries. Mohammad Ayub died while being taken to the hospital.

The police said Ayub had a property dispute with Mehboob.
