LAHORE,  July  7: Former Test players Ijaz Butt  and  Hasib Ahsan  have  been  appointed as president  of  Punjab  and  Sindh Cricket Associations, respectively.

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chief executive Ramiz Raja confirmed late on Monday  that Ijaz will monitor all the five  regions  of Punjab — Lahore, Rawalpindi, Multan, Faisalabad and Sialkot.

Hasib, meanwhile, will supervise the region of  Sindh  that includes  Karachi and Hyderabad. The names of president for  NWFP and Balochistan provinces are under consideration.

The  provincial cricket associations is the part of  the  new constitution of the board.
