KHUZDAR: A bridge at the Quetta-Karachi National Highway in Khuzdar was damaged in a blast on Thursday, police said.

A remote-controlled improvised explosive device was planted under the bridge near Arbab Complex.

“A portion of the bridge was damaged by the impact of the explosion which disrupted flow of traffic on the main artery linking Quetta with Karachi,” police said.

No one was injured.

TRIBAL ELDER DIES. A tribal elder and leader of the National Awami Party, Abdul Karim Ghulamani, who was injured in an armed attack a few days ago, succumbed to injuries on Thursday.

He was under treatment in Karachi.
