BJP blocks access to its website in Pakistan

People in Pakistan cannot view the website of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) which has blocked the access of the site. Although, the profile of its prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi can be accessed by internet users from Pakistan, ZeeNews reported.
"Error 1009 The owner of this website (bjp.org) has banned your IP address (---) on the country or region you are accessing it from," says the page as one logs in from anywhere inside Pakistan.
Therefore, internet users from Pakistan have to mask their IP addresses to log on to the website of the BJP.
The measure is not entirely surprising with the party’s traditional stance in relation to Pakistan and with Modi vowing a tough stand against the country if his party wins elections this year.
Modi has also called Singh weak and said his government was riddled with graft, as tens of thousands of supporters screamed Mr Modi’s name.
Modi, the chief minister of the western state of Gujarat, is a polarising and controversial figure — tainted by deadly anti-Muslim riots on his watch in 2002. He was also chief minister at the time of the riots, during which as many as 2,000 people were killed, mainly Muslims.

Dawn, you are not doing good to the future of both countries by associating Modi's false anti-muslim image with his strong stance against Pakistan. These are two separate things, and should be treated as such. A huge majority in India (close to 80%) is against the anti-Muslim shades of the BJP, and that's why they have not used those shades in this election. But almost and equally strong majority is in favor of a strong anti-Pakistan stance. If you do not communicate this to Pakistani's clearly, then it will create more and false ill-will between people.

Who cares if the BJP blocks its website, these people don't realize that it is not difficult to access the website, IT people knows how to take care of this small issue. If you see the anti Pakistan attitude of Modi for Muslims to go to Pakistan there is no problem, they will be welcomed. Their attitude suggests that BJP will stand for is Bharat Join Pakistan (BJP).

Never understood why Indians and BJP are obsessed with Pakistan when in Pakistan there is next to no interest in India. Pakistan has its own trajectory and Pakistanis have their own vision of where they want to head. Indian's cannot handle the fact that they are not in the equation. Sometimes I feel the Indians purposely don't want to resolve Indian occupied Kashmir because after that Pakistan will dump them and there will be no interaction what so ever. How pathetic can a party be that it has blocked its website when hardly any Pakistani goes on it but the few who to do leave comments that BJP cannot handle and cannot do anything about except try and terrorize the Muslims in India. Pakistan is a lion that scares them.

@Tina: Precisely the reason for blocking it. Recently BJP leader LK Advani's site got hacked from Pakistan. Most of the election related sites are hosted by third party servers that do not have a lot of security. To prevent any embarrassment in the coming days, I am sure some overzealous admin thought it is a good idea to save his job

Infiltration of militants will be firmly dealt with. There cannot be pretense of talks and ongoing infiltration together. Certainly trade will be the focus point. This cannot be termed anti Pakistan. It is a normal policy any country should adopt. Hope relations will improve under Modi regime.

Bringing modi to power is in the interest of muslims of india.. Had indian public inclined to hindutva, modi might have been the pri minister of india very early. since unlike majority of pakistani public, majority of Indian public are very secular , It was very tough for the entire indian population to convince that he is not anti muslim.The other parties wanted to take the benefit by blaming modi as communal. just go through history of rights in india .. it is quite evident that mostly it took place only in congress regime.
