BSEK suspends 30 officials

KARACHI: The Board of Secondary Education Karachi has suspended 30 superintendents and controller officers of examination centres allegedly involved in cheating in the secondary school certificate (SSC) exams, secretary of board Hoor Mazhar said on Thursday.

She said that the teachers had also been suspended from the examination duty for three years.

Meanwhile, the chief of vigilance team of the chief minister, Engineer Nazir Ahmed Chakrani, said more than 550 students had been caught red-handed while cheating in exams during past 15 days.
