KARACHI: Pakistan Coast Guards and Pakistan Customs officials on Wednesday seized 19,000 litres of illegal petrol and diesel in raids on the RCD Highway and Baba Island, Keamari.

About 15,000 litres of petrol was seized from a truck on RCD Highway during a routine check, while around 4,000 litres of diesel was seized by the PCG officials from a boat near Baba Island, Keamari, during a joint operation with Pakistan Customs. The vehicle and the boat were involved in Iranian petrol smuggling, according to officials.The value of the seized petrol and diesel in the market was said to be Rs20 million.—PPI
