NAUSHAHRO FEROZE: A campus of the Shaheed Benazir Bhutto University (SBBU) Benazirabad has been established at Naushahro Feroze.

It was announced by SBBU Vice Chancellor Arshad Saleem at a press conference held at the Circuit House here on Tuesday.

He said the university syndicate in its 8th meeting held on March 22, 2014, approved it at the request of the people of Naushahro Feroze district, including civil society activists and lawyers.

He said that at the first stage, classes for information technology and business administration would be started and further faculties would be introduced soon.

The classes will begin in the first week of August at the Government Boys Degree College Naushahro Feroze and admissions will start on Wednesday. Local people would be given preference for the appointment of staff at the campus.

LAWYERS’ PLEA: Several lawyers have submitted a resolution passed by the DBA demanding establishment of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto University’s Law Campus at Naushahro Feroze.

The resolution was submitted with the VC by Sindh Bar Council member Abdul Salam Luhrani, District Bar general secretary Abdul Sattar, senior lawyer Abdul Jabbar Rajput, advocate Abdul Basit and Munawar Khokar.

The VC assured the lawyers of submitting the resolution before the university syndicate for approval.
