RAWALPINDI: Four gunmen looted two utility stores here on Friday.

Police said the first robbery incident took place at Sadiqabad where a gang of four robbers stormed the utility store at about 5.45pm and snatched Rs70,000 from the staff and customers.

Yasir Mehmood, the store manager, in his complaint to the police stated that four young men, two of them wearing trousers and helmets, walked into the store and pulled out their guns.

The gunmen threatened the staff and the customers and asked them to surrender cash and mobile phones.

After snatching the cash and valuables, the robbers escaped on their motorcycle. Within less than an hour, they struck at another utility store located near the cricket stadium at Double Road.

Asif Abbasi, the manager of the utility store, informed the police that his staff was dealing with the customers when four persons riding a single motorcycle reached there. They robbed the staff and the customers of Rs35,000 and escaped towards the Industrial Area in Islamabad.
