Aamir’s show goes in vain

KARACHI, July 4: Despite a splendid allround show by Aamir Kaleem his side Zone-VII Green suffered a 36 runs defeat at hands of Zone-IV Whites in Touchme KCCA Inter-zonal U-17 championship on Thursday.

Aamir made a patient 68 off 119 balls with five hits to the ropes as Zone-IV Whites were spun out for 193 all out in 44.1 overs. Leg spinner Daniyal Latif caused the damage with haul of six wickets for 58 runs.

Zone-VII Green in reply were dismissed 157 in 45th over.

At Asifabad Ground, Asif Hameed and Zaheer Abbas shared seven wicket between them to bowl Zone-VI Whites to nine wicket win over Zone-VII Blues.

Asif took four wickets for 18 runs and pacer Zaheer Abbas got 3-13 to bowl out Zone-VII Blues for mere 68.

Zone-IV Whites romped home for the loss of one wicket.
