The winner of the tonight's clash at the Sher-e-Bangla stadium will join India in the semi-finals from group two of the Super-10s, condemning the loser to an early flight home. Both Pakistan and the West Indies blossomed late in the tournament after losing their opening games to India, who sailed through to the semi-finals as the only unbeaten team in the Super-10s. Pakistan, the 2009 champions who made the semi-finals in all four previous editions, revived their fortunes with a 16-run win over Australia before thumping hosts Bangladesh by 50 runs. The West Indies thrashed Bangladesh by 73 runs before a spectacular late assault by Sammy handed them a last-over win over Australia.

The openers of WI Christ Gayle and Dwayne Smith, went out cheaply looked tried and exhausted.Pakistan is in full excitement to defeat the WI so that they can meet India to avenge the opening defeat.

Have seen it so many times: Pakistan do so good with the ball up til 3/4th of the innings and in the last quarter all bowlers have a collective mental block. We gave away 82 runs in 5 overs ! Umar Gul is not mentally strong, the moment he got hit for 6 in the first ball of 17th Over I knew West Indies will be get over or close to 170. Disappointed in Team Pakistan.

This is how dreams become nightmares. First our ace bowler, Saeed Ajmal, throughly thrashed. Then Pakistan's fate sealed in the first few overs of their innings. Now everyone can see the writing on the wall. Green shirts living upto the reputation of being unpredictable.

Unbelievable Pakistan couldn't face the wrath of West Indies spinners. Most of them stumped out by Ramdeen. Pakistan players were too much hyped to reach the semis to face India led to fall of wickets to quick. DJ Bravo hitting sixes and four made splendid show of the game.

Our team's problem is psychological and lack of faith. They play boldly against third rate teams like BD but lose heart when playing against their peers even before the match starts.

Congratulations to Pakistani selectors for choosing the worst players for world cup.Dropped Misbah,Fawad Alam,Sharjeel Khan,this was going to happen.Why in the world would you select players like Kamran Akmal,Sohaib malik ,Hafeez for their batsman.There is no hope from this team.

Summary of the match in 5 words. Happy April Fools day Pakistan. Instead of focusing on this match, you were planning your strategy on playing India in the final. Had you played one game at a time you would have easily won this game against a highly unpredictable West Indies. A disappointed Indian

15 overs into the match with west indies batting, Pakistan had a clear cut edge above WI. And how the game changed. What I feel is Pakistan depend too heavily on Ajmal. He is a world class bowler no doubt, but he too can have an off-day, and when that happens other bowlers should cover it up. That did not happen. Coming to Pakistan batting, HORRENDOUS. Batsmen did everything that should not have been done. A little better application from the batsmen and we would have seen an interesting match. But, such a dull display of batting will not help a team make a match out of it, let alone win it. As an Indian, I was expecting an Indo-Pak cricket match again, which should have been exciting. But alas, sad batting performance...sad, sad cricket match.

OMG!!!!! Seriously!!! Pakistani players just showed the nation that its all about us not a team or Pakistan. Can any1 justify Kamran Akmal, Shoaib Malik and poor captain Hafeez. This team is just "Pathetic"

Pak scored 82 runs in 20 overs. WI scored that many runs in last 5 overs against Pak's superior bowling attack including that of Ajmal. As usual, Pakistan maintained their record of snatching defeat from the jaws of victory. Beating India in the final remained unfulfilled.
