PESHAWAR, July 4: Additional district and sessions Judge, Peshawar, Sardar Irshad, on Friday awarded three-year rigorous imprisonment and a fine of Rs3,000 to a drug trafficker.

The accused, Imdad Khan, son of Ghulam Rasool, resident of Malak Pura village, Peshawar district, had been arrested on April 14,2003 by the Kotwali police station. Two kilogrammes of heroin and three kilogrammes of charas was recovered from his possession.

In another case, additional district and sessions judge, Peshawar, Khizarul Habib, exonerated accused Mohammad Raza in a dacoity case.—APP
