HYDERABAD, July 3: The Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal has announced to hold a protest demonstration against disqualification of its MNA, Mufti Ibrar Sultan, here on July 4.

This decision was taken at a meeting of the MMA, Hyderabad, held at the office of the Jamaat-i-Islami here on Thursday. The meeting discussed the situation arising out of the disqualification of Mufti Sultan.

It appealed to the people to attend the demonstration to foil political designs of the US which was using the rulers to eliminate religious schools in the country.

Hyderabad MMA president Abdul Waheed Qureshi presided over the meeting.

Meanwhile, Sindh Jamiat Ulema-i-Pakistan president and MMA leader MNA Dr Sahebzada Abul Khair Mohammad Zubair, in a statement issued here on Thursday, expressed concern over the decrease in enrichment of uranium at the Kahota laboratory.

He claimed that it was for the first time in the last six months that enrichment of uranium was reduced from 90 per cent to 20 per cent.
