Complaint registered against Dasti

ISLAMABAD: A complaint was registered against MNA Jamshed Dasti after a lawyer approached the Secretariat police station on Wednesday.

The lawyer complained that Dasti was guilty of defaming the country and its legislators, the police said.

Advocate Mohammad Saeed Khan, the complainant, when approached by Dawn, said: “Pakistan and the parliamentarians have become a laughing stock due to the allegation leveled by Jamshed Dasti.”

He seems to be working to defame Pakistan and its citizens, Khan said, adding that the allegations portray Pakistanis as “drunker revelers”.

After the complaint was registered in the daily diary, it was sent to the police prosecution department for legal opinion, the police added.

The Station House Officer, Abdur Rehman, told Dawn that a legal opinion was needed because the complainant had asked to register the case under Hudood Ordinance, which is a non-cognizable offence. In such cases, a court order is required instead of a police action.

Instead of looking at the evidence complaint has been registered against the same person .This can only happen in Pakistan .If action is not taken on the evidence provided by Dasti rule of law will never prevail in Pakistan .I would request Mr Dasti to make all the evidence public and put same on web for general public to know what their representatives are up to .Dasti sahib this will be a great favour .

Dasti is right. Our politicians are corrupt. Mohammad Saeed Khan sould be sued for taking side of corrupt politicians instead of Dasti.

If you do not abide by my advice, be ready to face the humiliation of the legal process and the law enforcement agencies. Whose payroll is Advocate Mohammad Saeed Khan on? He needs to get his facts straight. Just because Dasti has accused the legislators of conducting immoral activities, how has he defamed the country? Yes, most of the parliamentarians are a laughing stock due to their abuse of power and lack of morality. What has that got to do with defaming Pakistan?

When Dasti was in PPP One Year Ago, he was corrupt but now everybody is saying he is Right just because he has left PPP..He will get a Saint Status if he Joins PTI.
