SWABI July 1: A married woman and a man were shot dead on Tuesday on charges of adultery.

After the incident, the killer, Saleem Shah Bacha, resident of Zaida, surrendered before the police, alleging that he had found the man and the woman in a compromising position.

The accused, Saleem, had married a young girl of Manki Sharif after the death of his first wife a few years ago.

He was working abroad when his family informed him about the alleged affair between his wife and a man in the same village called Bilal.

He was living in one of his relatives’ house after returning home and was reported to have told his wife that he was going to Karachi for a week.

On Tuesday night, Saleem killed the man and the woman, locked the room and courted arrest. Saleem had informed his relatives before informing the police about the incident.

The body of Saleem’s wife was buried by officials of the local administration after he own parents and her in-laws refused to receive the body. However, Bilal’s body was handed over to his parents for burial.
