Let’s not talk about Youtube, for that’s up to the authorities concerned to do whatever they want to do with it. But let’s talk about the very bold Ali Gul Pir. Make no mistake ladies and gentleman, there’s a phenomenon taking place here: in these trying times there are young men and women in the country who are not afraid to speak their mind.

Ali Gul Pir’s Wadera ka Beta is already a path-breaking song which poked fun at a system that the artist himself is a part of. Now his latest endeavour, presented by InCahoots Films and Pakistan for All featuring Adil Omar and production by Talal Qureshi, against the ban, is also worth paying attention to. The good thing is that while the content of the song is in the most noticeable thing in the composition, it’s the musical elements of the tune that are no less praiseworthy. This is super pop culture.
