PESHAWAR, June 30: Ten new programmes will be aired from the PTV, Peshawar Centre, during the next quarter, starting from July, programme manager Shaukat Ali said.

Giving details of the new programmes at a press briefing at the Peshawar Centre on Monday, Mr Ali expressed the hope that new programmes would be appreciated by audience. He urged media to furnish authorities with feedback through their stories and articles.

He said following programmes would be telecast during the next quarter:

Dr Mohammad Azam Azam’s Pashto drama serial, Khanadan, co- produced by Salahuddin and Syed Masood Ahmad Shah would go on air on July 6.

Hindko drama serial Zindagi produced by Aurangzeb Afridi and written by Nasir Ali Syed, whereas the Pashto music programme Sandarai Malghalarai written by Laiq Zada Laiq and produced by Nisar Ali under the supervision of Shaukat Ali is another programme made on personalities of singers, most of whom have already died.

A music programme based on the Urdu version of the Pashto poetry of mystic poet Rehman Baba will be telecast from July 13 on weekly basis. Abaseen Yousufzay is the host while it has been produced by Shaukat Ali.

Drama series Barkat written by Saadullah Jan Barq on the life of Mohtarama Fatima Jinnah and produced by Abdul Qayum Hoti, would go on air on the national hookup from July 23. Its production was necessitated by the government’s announcement to celebrate this year as Fatima Jinnah’s year. The drama embodied a message of hard work and honesty for the people.

Sitaro Pai Jo Daltai Hai Kamand produced by Aziz Aijaz, provides scions of the well-of families with food for thought. Individuals who achieved great successes in the life through sheer hard work and honesty would be invited in the programme to tell the audience who they achieved the success.

Urdu drama serial produced by Aziz Aijaz Ajnabi Raastai Ajnabi Manzeelain written by Nasim Nasir, would be another drama serial.
