ISLAMABAD, June 29: Foreign Minister Khurshid Mahmud Kasuri has said that meaningful dialogue is the only way to resolve Pakistan-India disputes.

In an interview with Voice of America (VoA), he said: “We are ready to hold bilateral talks with India. If bilateral is not possible, we are ready for multilateral talks, but the important thing is to hold meaningful talks.”

The foreign minister said that Pakistan-India tensions could only be decreased through negotiations as three wars had failed to resolve the Kashmir issue.

The Kashmir dispute should be resolved in accordance with the wishes of the Kashmiris, he added.

Mr Kasuri said American interest to help Pakistan and India conduct dialogue was a positive development.—APP
