Spanish flamenco guitarist Paco de Lucia dies in Mexico

MADRID: Spanish flamenco guitarist Paco de Lucia has died in Mexico of a heart attack, at the age of 66, officials in his hometown of Algeciras said Wednesday.

Born Francisco Sanchez Gomez, the master guitarist helped to modernize the Spanish flamenco tradition and promote it to a global audience during his decades-long career.
