HYDERABAD: A son of the sessions judge, Jacobabad, was gunned down here on Wednesday night.

According to police, Aqib Shahani was driving his car when gunmen in another vehicle intercepted him on Thandi Sarak. His two sisters and mother were with him in the car.

They told police that the armed men first verified Aqib’s identity and then pulled him out of the car. Then they pumped at least 12 bullets into his body. Aqib died on the spot.

Aqib’s father Khalid Hussain Shahani has previously served in Hyderabad as additional sessions judge.
