SADIQABAD, June 26: A group of people is trying to occupy land that belongs to an elderly couple who have no children, according to local revenue officials.

Abdul Ghafoor alias Abdul Aziz Bhatti (80) of Tarindah Mohammad Pannah owes around 86 kanals of agriculture land. He complained that the “Qabza group” led by one Aslam Bhatti was trying to occupy his land after destroying the standing crop. “These people are harassing us and trying to force us to migrate to some other town,” the couple alleged. The local revenue staff confirmed the allegations in a report submitted to the higher authorities.
