NAWABSHAH, June 25: A man whose son died after being operated upon at the Eye Ward of the People’s Medical College Hospital, Nawabshah, has lodged an FIR against four doctors of the hospital.

Sources said Ali Mohammad, a head constable in the Nawabshah police, alleged in his FIR that four PMCH doctors — Dr Khan Mohammad Nangrejo, Dr Tahir Hussain, Dr Saeed Ahmad Solangi and Dr Ghulam Murtaza — were responsible for the death of his two-year-old son Ali Raza.

The sources said an inquiry into the incident was conducted by senior doctors and a report was released on Tuesday, deleting the name of alleged main accused Dr Nangrejo.

PMCH medical superintendent Dr Nisar Ahmad Shaikh told this correspondent that a report had been issued and doctors had been held responsible for the death of the child.

When asked about the names of the doctors, he said he had no information as the inquiry was conducted by other doctors.
