LARKANA: A man axed his sister to death allegedly for honour in the village of Mitho Khakhrani in the jurisdiction of Keeti Mumtaz police station (Naudero) on Monday.

After killing Miss Gulzar Khatoon, 23, Deedar Khakhrani surrendered at the police post of ‘Doso Dara’. Confessing his crime, he said he had suspected that his sister had developed illicit relations with her cousin.

Manthar Khakhrani, another brother of Gulzar, has registered FIR with the police station concerned against Deedar, linking the murder to a domestic issue.

GANG BUSTED: Tracing kidnappers through a SIM, Larkana police busted a gang of criminals and recovered a hostage named Bilawal Hulio, 5, on Monday from Gari Yasin.

The boy was kidnapped from Ali Goharabad locality on Jan 4, the SSP Larkana Khalid Mustafa Korai said.

Police arrested a kidnapper identified as Nadeem Kori in Madeji after tracing his mobile calls, who had demanded Rs1 million from the victim’s family. On his lead, his accomplice Ahmed Tunio was arrested from Garhi Yasin and the boy was recovered.
