Bilqees Khanum is one of the senior most quality artists that Pakistan can be really proud of. If her fellow artists are not happy the way she’s treated by her country, somewhere down the line things are not right.

Recently a couple of known signers, such as Ghulam Abbas and Jawad Ahmed, complained at an event about how the authorities concerned have overlooked her services and haven’t used her expertise for the benefit of the younger lot. All we can say is that in a country where those who have nothing to do with music judge music competitions, your complaint doesn’t surprise us.
