HYDERABAD, Dec 14: The Hyderabad police have arrested two accused on Thursday night and recovered a dish receiver and looted gold ornaments valued at over Rs100,000.

Three accused persons were trespassed into the house of Allah Dino Katyar, bungalow No. 54, in Memon Town and looted the inmates of ornaments and cash at gunpoint and made good their escape.

As they were fleeing they were spotted by the SHO of Bhitai Nagar police station, who was on patrol duty along with his staff.

They chased the accused persons and arrested one of them namely Ali Shaikh and recovered a dish receiver from his possession while his two accomplices managed to escape.

During the interrogation, Ali Shaikh disclosed the names of his two accomplices as Dodo and Rasool Bux alias Karo.

The SHO Bhitai Nagar later raided the house of Dodo in Tando Jam and arrested him. One pistol and the looted ornaments were also recovered from his possession and a case has been registered at the Bhitai Nagar police station.

The looted ornaments are valued at about Rs100,000.

EID GOODS: The SSP of Hyderabad here on Friday distributed edibles — ghee, atta, sugar, pulses and other goods among the blind, disabled and destitute persons.

Addressing the gathering SSP Moazzam Jah said that Ramazan-ul-Mubarik and Eid-ul-Fitr were the occasions which reminded the Muslims of their duties to help each other and share the miseries of the poor people.
