LAHORE, Dec 14: Jamaat-i-Islami acting amir Munawwar Hasan has termed the attack on Indian parliament a ploy of secret agencies of New Delhi and urged the Pakistan government and the public to remain vigilant for any sabotage activity by the enemy.

In a press statement here on Friday, he said India had been looking for a pretext to attack Pakistan since long, and it had staged the plane hijacking drama for the same purpose.

Saying that the growing cooperation between India and Israel was a big threat to the regional security, he said the former was formulating a strategy to benefit from the experience of the latter in eliminating its enemies.

Mr Hasan said the Indian government, taking advantage of the so-called world drive against terror, banned a Muslim students organization and imposed a new draconian law in the name of curbing terrorism, and now it had hatched a conspiracy to attack Kashmir and Pakistan.

He said the government as well as the masses should remain alert to face any challenge from the enemy, and with the help of the world opinion try to bar it from launching a crackdown on innocent Kashmiris.
