Rawalpindi defeat Peshawar

RAWALPINDI, June 14: Rawalpindi Regional Academy beat their Peshawar counterparts by 52 runs in an Inter-academy match at the KRL Stadium on Saturday.

Waqas Zafar, with a fine 51 and opener Afaq Rahim who scored 45 fired Rawalpindi to 240 for nine off their 50 overs. Mahfooz Sabri, Hazrat Hussain and Akbar Badshah collected two wickets apiece.

Off spinner Usman Saeed then wrecked Peshawar’s reply by snaring five wickets for 38 runs as the visitors folded for 188 for nine in their quota of overs.
