HYDERABAD: Salaries not paid

HYDERABAD, June 11: Activists of the Sindhi Adabi Sangat observed a token hunger strike outside the press club here on Wednesday against non-payment of salaries to employees of the Sindhi Adabi Board.

Led by Prof Inam Shaikh, Prof Saeeda Bashir, Tariq Alam Abro, Adal Soomro, Parwano Bhatti, Ayaz Gul, Amar Sindhu and others, the protesters demanded that the Sindh government should ensure payment of four-month salaries to the employees.

They criticized the authorities for their indifferent attitude towards the plight of the Sindhi Adabi Board employees.—Bureau
