MANSEHRA, June 10: Intense fighting has been continuing between two groups of proclaimed offenders in the upper Tanawal area, Dana, for the last 36 hours, with both sides using heavy weapons.

Danna, located in the jurisdiction of Phulra Police Station, is hideout of proclaimed offenders.

The rivalry between groups of Sardara and Kanda has claimed at least 30 lives from both sides in the past.

When contacted, Phulra Police Station SHO Tariq Mahmood said that the exchange of fire between the two groups in Danna was a routine matter.

He said some women from the area had reached the police station with some pieces of metal, claiming they were the pieces of rockets fired during the clash.

He said the police had arrested three POs — Mohammad Siddique, Mohammad Rafique and Khan Mohammad — on Monday.
