RAWALPINDI, June 9: A man committed suicide after killing his wife and injuring his mother-in-law in Rahimabad on Monday.

According to the police, Ibrar Ahmed shot himself dead after killing his wife in the house of his in-laws.

Ibrar’s wife, Maryam Naz, moved to her parent’s house in Rahimabad a few days ago after developing differences with her husband.

On Monday, Ibrar visited his in-laws and asked his wife to return to his house, but she refused on which he got infuriated and opened fire on his mother-in-law and wife.

Ibrar’s mother-in-law sustained bullet injuries while Maryam Naz died on the spot. After killing his wife, Ibrar also shot himself, the police said.

The police handed over the bodies to the families of the deceased after postmortem.

Meanwhile, the Golra police found a body in an abandoned car parked in Sector F-10/3 on Sunday morning.

The deceased, later identified as 26-year-old Iftikhar Hassan Shah, had several stab wounds, the police said.

The police shifted the body to Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences for autopsy and started investigation.

KILLED: A man, believed to be in his 50s, died after being hit by a car near Rawalpindi General Hospital (RGH), police said on Monday. The deceased was crossing the road when the accident occurred. He was taken to the RGH by a passer-by but he died in the hospital.
