LAHORE, June 9: The city remained in the grip of dust raising winds on Monday with the meteorological office forecasting the same pattern in the next 24 hours.

The mercury dropped to 35.2 degrees C on Monday. The minimum temperature was 29.8 degrees C. Humidity in the morning was 60 per cent while it was 52 per cent by evening.

Light rain was reported from some northern parts of the country. There were traces of rain in Kakul and Balakot, Skardu (2mm), Astore (3mm) and Kotli (7mm).

As usual, young men and children beat the heat and humid conditions by bathing in canals.
