SUKKUR, Nov 24: A rally was taken out in Jacobabad on Sunday by the Baloch National Movement (BNM) to seek an end to feudal clashes in Sindh.According to reports reaching here, the rally was started from Shaheed Allah Bux Park led by Fida Hussain Khandrani, Yar Ali Domki, Gulab Jan Mengal, Nabi Bux Meerali, Rafiq Ahmed Domki and Qaisar Leghari.

After marching on different roads, they reached in front of the local press club where they held a sit-in, blocking the DC office road and suspending vehicular traffic for some time.

Speaking on the occasion, the BNM leaders said Waderas of Sindh were responsible for spreading feudal disputes and clashes while using people for their vested interests.

They said many precious lives were lost in feudal clashes and many families were disturbed and shelter less while their properties were damaged and their children were deprived of education facilities.

They said Sindh was the land of Sufis, therefore, the custom of tribal clashes in the province should be ended.

They said delegations of the BNM would go to convince the people of Sindh to end their clashes.

They demanded of the government and NGOs to play their role in this regard to help prosper Sindh.

Two Afghans arrested

Two Afghan nationals were arrested from an area nearby Jeelani Town in Jacobabad on Sunday.

According to police, they had received information that two Afghan nationals had entered illegally in Jacobabad. In a raid, they arrested the accused identified as Muhammad Gul Pathan and Raj Muhammad Pathan.

They had crossed into Pakistan without any valid documents.

An FIR has been lodged against them on behalf of state at Saddar police station Jacobabad.
