KARACHI, June 7: Left winger Riaz Ahmed struck snap- field goals as Railway School Karachi Cantt shocked Habib Public School (HPS) 3-2 to annex the 4th Tanveer Memorial Inter-school hockey tournament at a well attended final at Hockey Club of Pakistan Stadium Saturday.

Railways School boys produced a sterling second half show as they came from 1-2 down against fancied HPS to register exciting triumph.

Riaz gave his team lead as early as in the second minutes and added the second in 55th minute. Ali Idrees scored the other goal on a penalty goal.

After conceding the first goal, HPS fought back to gain 2-1 advantage.

Sibtain Raza first draw level by converting a penalty stroke and scored the second off penalty corner in 51st minute to gave his team lead in 51st minutes.

However Railway in an inspired show scored two goals in two minutes through Ali Idrees and Riaz to seal the fate of the match.—APP
