LAHORE, Oct 22: Syed Aqil Shah and Chaudhry Mohammad Asghar were elevated to the post of Pakistan Wrestling Federation (PWF) chairman and president respectively, as new body for a four-year term was elected on Tuesday.

Mohammad Arshad Sattar has been elected as new secretary general of the PWF. In the previous body Aqil was the president while Asghar was acting as secretary.

“The Pakistan Olympic Association (POA), International Federation of Associated Wrestling (FILA) and the Asian Council of Associated Wrestling (AAWC) have already been informed of the new PWF body. POA president, retired Lt Gen Arif Hasan, in turn has congratulated the new office-bearers,” a press release of the PWF stated.
