KARACHI: Rangers arrested 80 suspects yesterday by conducting targeted operations in different parts of the city. Rangers claim that weapons and drugs were also confiscated from those arrested.

Rangers conducted a targeted operations in different parts of the city, arresting extortionists and target killers linked with political parties and the Lyari Gang War. 48 other suspects were also arrested during the operations.

Operations were conducted in the areas of Mehran Town, Baloch Colony, Haji Mureed Goth, Gabol Park and Tesar Town, along with a few others.

A police officer was killed during clashes with suspects, after which Rangers and police personnel conducted a search operation in different areas of Malir City and arrested 31 suspects. A large amount of ammunition was also confiscated during the operations.

The police arrested three most wanted suspects in the past 24 hours, along with 15 other suspects.

Karachi is undergoing a targeted operation by Rangers and police personnel, aimed at ridding the metropolis of the gangs, kidnappers, extortionists and other groups that have infiltrated the southern provincial capital.
