KARACHI, Sept 19: Lyallpur FC got their campaign off the mark after the Pakistan Premier Football League (PPFL) newcomers held Pakistan Army to a goalless draw on Thursday.

The Faisalabad side have struggled on their rise to the top-tier of Pakistan football, losing their opening three games. But they showed great resolve to hold back an Army side at Lahore’s Railways Football Stadium.

The draw for Army, seeking their third win in four matches, leaves them on eight points from four games, two behind early leaders National Bank of Pakistan (NBP).—Sports Reporter
