PESHAWAR, Sept 17: The local police on Tuesday arrested four persons for their alleged involvement in sexual abuse of two teenage sisters.

The accused were identified as Arshad, Saleemullah, Syed Akbar and Zaman all in early twenties, according to officials of Machani police station.

According to the police, both sisters had mysteriously disappeared a few days ago. Maqsood Ali Shah, resident of Hasan Garhi, had registered an FIR with the Machani police station on Sept 2 that his two daughters aged 13 and 14 went missing at night while on their way to hospital where their mother was admitted.

The police said that after remaining in captivity of the kidnappers for five days the girls were thrown in front of their home. They were allegedly kept in a house in Hayatabad area.

In the light of information provided by the victims of sexual abuse, the police said that they had arrested the suspected persons during a raid. A police official told Dawn that after medical examination of the girls the sexual abuse had been confirmed.
