SUKKUR, Sept 17: Three persons of a family were killed and another was injured in a road accident on near Sukkur on Tuesday.

Dr Irfan Khoso, a resident of Thul taluka in Jacobabad, had been travelling with his wife, mother and cousin to Karachi in their car.

At the Sukkur bypass their car collided with a dumper truck resulting in the deaths of Dr Khoso, his wife and mother, while his cousin, Suhail Khoso, was injured.

All were taken to the Civil Hospital Sukkur where Mr Khoso was admitted for treatment. Bodies were handed over to relatives after post mortem was conducted.

Meanwhile, driver of the dumper truck fled the scene and the vehicle was impounded by the Airport Police.

The deceased doctor was a resident of Thul but worked in Karachi.

No case was registered till Tuesday night.—BoC
