They will put her in jail accordingly with Hudood Ordinance if she cannot provide four witnesses saying that it was a rape.

imran bhatt Sep 13, 2013 01:36pm

I am sure perpetrators are either RAW or CIA agents working hard to malign good name of Pakistan. Furthermore, no Muslim can do such an inhuman act.

haris Sep 13, 2013 01:36pm

"Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif took notice of the incident and issued orders for the immediate arrest of the suspects."

HOW? DNA test is un-islamic according to many immoral and unethical religious scholars.

Rashid Sultan Sep 13, 2013 02:12pm

How can anyone even contemplate such a monstrous heinous act!! No punishment will ever suffice.

Sayeed Altaf Hussein Sep 13, 2013 02:24pm

Sharifs: These animals should be taken out of our civil society for ever. Follow India's example.

mashman Sep 13, 2013 02:28pm

Find the culprits and hang them so that no one else dares to commit such heinous crime in the land of pure.

Hassan Sep 13, 2013 02:29pm

This is a brutal crime, a mother of all crimes... this sort of incidents make women hate men.... What kind of men are these who raped a child of 5 years old.... such a shame....

Awais Sep 13, 2013 03:28pm

He should be caught and hanged

AHA Sep 13, 2013 03:35pm

Some men are just too sick. I pray that the girl and her family get the strength to recover from this ordeal, and are able to move on with their lives.

Maryam Sep 13, 2013 05:14pm

Find and hang the culprits as soon as possible.

H L Sep 13, 2013 05:27pm

It makes me cry.

Salman Sep 13, 2013 05:36pm

I wish the perpetrators of this heinous crime be publicaly hanged to death. If justice is not served immediately no woman is safe in this country. Hang them, burn them and murder them.

AJ Sep 13, 2013 05:51pm

They need to be given exemplary punishment.

Ali Tahir Sep 13, 2013 06:25pm

Curse of God on those who did this brutality to a 5 year innocent child who even didn't know what was going on with her. Shameless are those who should curse on themselves what they did to this child. O you frustrated beasts! had you gone to some red lite area to satisfy your brutal and lustful urge if you were such desperate that couldn't even recognize the innocence of that child......who had nothing to bear or guard her.....

zehra Sep 13, 2013 07:11pm

give punishment in a way that would be lesson for other first half burn him in front of people then hang him for a couple of days

masood Sep 13, 2013 10:15pm

Well a five year old gets raped and dumped, these criminals should be hanged in public to deter the ones who get unreported.........Allah save humanity...Ameen.. Lets see if this case is taken up by the politician and the ones protects its citizen......for once lets not excited about the flotation of PIA but use that funds for law and order which is bismal

Faisal Sep 13, 2013 10:52pm

The culprits should be hanged till death as done in delhi gang rape case so that no one try to even think about this crime.

Marzi Sep 13, 2013 11:02pm

" I am sure perpetrators are either RAW or CIA agents working hard to malign good name of Pakistan. Furthermore, no Muslim can do such an inhuman act." GET out of denial. Shame on us if we deny the poor girl justice by refusing to acknowledge people can be beastly -yes that includes usPakistanis - the man who drowned his dughter was not a RAW or CIA agent. At least India was rocked by protests and sentences were carried out.Our conscience seems to be dead.

ozman Sep 14, 2013 01:21am

Sick, Sick Sick

Shahid Sep 14, 2013 01:52am

Castration is the only punishment for such criminals

Natasha Sep 14, 2013 03:00am

@Yousaf: How sad is that yousaf? But I hear u! Beyond anything I've ever read. Our society is pre Islamic state!

Farrukh Najmi Sep 14, 2013 03:38am

This is evidence of a sick sick society. There is no justice thanks to Sharia laws that do not accept DNA evidence and require 4 male witnesses to prove rape. I am so very disgusted.

nyousaf Sep 14, 2013 05:39am

@imran bhatt: Time to wake up!! this is not the first time such an incidence has happened and won't be the last ..The men are probably mentally deranged and furthermore being a Muslim does not make everyone a saint either.

Mareli Sep 14, 2013 07:10am

I hate to say it but I wonder if this crime was perpetrated by the victim's own relatives. Who else would have had access to a 5-year-old Pakistani girl? Or maybe neighbors? Whoever did this must be caught and punished. There is no excuse for this sort of action.

Mareli Sep 14, 2013 07:26am

That would be a travesty of justice. Hudud ordinance should be repealed if such an abuse results.

Taimoor Toor Sep 14, 2013 10:29am

Thank you Dawn for showing that you have some ethical principles for reporting and not naming the victim like many other newspapers and TV channels.

M.Basharat Sep 14, 2013 01:15pm

I think these men should be burnt alive the way they have commited a such a crime they do not need to be punished in any other way action has to be swift and fast to catch them all May Allah give that little girl fast recovery and her family has patient.

Ali Sep 14, 2013 01:17pm

Stone them to death in public!!!

Ali Sep 14, 2013 01:20pm

@Yousaf: This is a rape case not adultery. Rape cases are quiet obvious and the culprits are stoned to death (Sharia)!! Please educated yourself.

Omz Sep 14, 2013 05:44pm

@imran bhatt: Not sure if sarcastic or actually serious. If it's the former then the joke was really in bad taste, mate.

I'm not one to support the death penalty other than in the case of terrorists but I really feel we should follow India and Bangladesh's example in the cases of rape and acid-throwing on women. Sometimes you really need to draw a line to have justice and incur positive change in society.

I hope that the girl and her family get the strength to recover from this ordeal.

Maham Sep 14, 2013 11:12pm

@imran bhatt:

Imran, I really really hope that you are not serious.

akeel abbas Sep 15, 2013 01:09am

shahbaz sharif agar ap ko waqai uss bachi se hamdardi hai to phir mujrimo ko pakar ker sar e aam phansi do ya goli maro takey agay se koi asa hewan bannay se pehley 10 bar sochay. sirf ayadat kerney se ya a ker afsos kerney se kuch nai hota.

humanity_crying Sep 15, 2013 10:35am

@imran bhatt: I don't think RAW or CIA has to do anything to malign good name of Pakistan. People who can rape a 5 year old child and shoot a 20 year old boy and can still walk free after getting a death penalty are enough to do that.

Muhammad Ali Sep 15, 2013 11:55am

I am also a guy, and being a guy, I dont how can any guy even contemplate to act this way, its impossible for a normal person to even think about committing this act no matter how much revenge he has in mind or whatsoever. Its a shame that such things happen around us. This act can safely be attributed to a disturbed mindset. I hope the culprits are made to suffer the excruciating pain which the girl and her family faced. Insha Allah.

saythetruth Sep 15, 2013 12:21pm

@Yousaf: Sad to see that you tried to bring Islam in this for no reason. Islam mocking is so cheap these days.

umerbhai Sep 15, 2013 02:33pm

@Sayeed Altaf Hussein: we dont need to follow anyone's example, the punishment decreed by Allah 1400 years ago (i.e. publically stoning the sinners of this kind to death), is enough to teach these rapists a lesson. The sad part is that whenever someone tries to exact these punishments to the wrong doers the so called liberals start nametagging us of inhumanity and cruelty. Now see the result of mocking the commandments of Allah that there is death and destruction everywhere.

ahmed Sep 15, 2013 03:36pm

hello alice in wonderland! what a country? And you dare to call it an Islamic Republic of Pakistan? And the mullahs are more concerned about events in Egypt and/or Syria-but the country they live in is going to dogs.Does it matters to them as long as they grow fat and obese on people's backs! Thanking you

Libby Sep 15, 2013 04:51pm

Unfortunately I see no further coverage on this issue. Are the police issuing Press releases on their follow up to this terrible crime. Is the Media pressing the Police for Press releases. I would suggest this crime be covered on Dawn TV too, to create awareness and a sense of urgency in finding the criminals.

khanm Sep 15, 2013 05:33pm

Truly barbaric and inhuman act.. Indeed we are becoming a sick society

Chand Sep 15, 2013 10:58pm

When there is a film shown on you tube supposed to be inflammatory to Islam there were people out on street burning American flag etc. where are those people now? Do they consider this as an act that is not inflammatory?

Rao Sep 16, 2013 07:49am

@Ali: Most people in Muslim countries have very little understanding of psychiatric illnesses even though it Is in a way no different in neighbouring countries . The rapists do attempt such crimes be ause of sick perverted minds. Such behaviour exists in ALL societies , West or East. It needs lots of understanding and complex and concerted to control and treat these mentally sick persons.

Hanging few in he public is not going o Chang this sick behaviour.

Salman Sep 16, 2013 10:24am

If I was the Chief Minister of Punjab, I would put a stop watch outside my office and it will continue to run till such time the culprits are arrested. This is not a crime, this is a barbaric act. I would have ensured that I personally oversee the operation as if it was my own daughter. Is our society completely dead morally? No, no, no. We are still alive. Insha Allah I am hopeful these barbarians will be caught. I just hope they bleed to death publicly. Please show us a clear photo of the man caught on tape.
