KARACHI, May 24: The Sindh High Court has allowed the Privatisation Commission to call fresh bids for the Hyatt Regency Hotel Project in Karachi.

The commission said in a press release on Saturday that it had moved a miscellaneous application to seek the permission on behalf of its chairman, who is custodian of the project.

Expressions of interest were now being invited from reputable parties desirous of acquiring the assets (including equipment) of the project on the basis of “as is where is.”

The project covers 10,000 square yards at the intersection of Maulvi Tamizuddin Khan and Dr Ziauddin Ahmed roads in front of the PIDC House and two five-star hotels.
