MITHI, May 23: A scheduled caste family from Nagarparkar taluka has appealed to the Sindh government and the Human Rights Commission of Pakistan to take notice of the excesses of the area police which had registered a false case against its members.

Speaking at a news conference here on Thursday, Dhani, wife of Mangal Kolhi; Gomi, wife of Meho Kolhi; Nagji Kolhi and other residents of Chanpanayian-jo-Wandhio, said that they had lodged a case against Thakur Kamero for trying to criminally assault Dhani.

They alleged that instead of arresting the accused, the Nagarparkar police had registered a false case of cattle theft against Meho, Kajo, Shankar, Mangal and others to pressure them to withdraw their case.

They appealed to the Sindh governor, chief minister, IG, and the HRCP to take notice of the matter.
